From being turned down by a premier league club at 14 years old, to playing in the Spanish league system and everything in between, my journey has been a rollercoaster ride with many highs and lows - but most importantly all have provided opportunities to learn and grow. This is why I am so passionate about helping young aspiring footballers navigate through the mind field that is modern-day football and sharing my experience on the harsh realities of the beautiful game. Below I have broken my career down into the key parts of my journey, which has led me to where I am today.
Growing up in northern England, there was only ever one sport that I was going to pursue. An avid supporter, student and player of the game I started my career as many do at the grassroots level where I made a name for myself within my local town/area, resulting in the interest of a number of professional clubs. Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, Doncaster Rovers, and Scunthorpe United were all clubs during my youth career that expressed interest in me and invited me to join for short spells and trials.
For one reason or another, I was turned away and told that I was ´too small to make it as a professional footballer which I believe taught me how to deal with setbacks and rejection from a young age but this certainly would not deter me from my mission. Since then I´ve gone on to play football in 3 different countries, earned a promotion in the Spanish league system, signed with a full-time football club and made an incredible network of professionals within the industry - all thanks to this game that we all love so much.
The number 15 has always held sentimental value to me for a number of reasons. 15 was the number that was given to me during the trial with my boyhood club Sheffield United which as an avid supporter growing up, was a dream come true. 15 was also my squad number when I made my first FA Cup appearances at 16 years old after breaking into the senior team at the semi-professional level. 2015 was the year that I decided to pack my bags and head to the US to pursue a collegiate soccer career, little did I know I would go on to experience some of the best years of my life/career. 15 is the squad number that I was given when I signed for my first full-time football club in Spain, we would later go on to achieve promotion where I scored the winning goal in the semi-final and final of playoffs.
After completing my 4 years of eligibility and graduating with a degree in Business Administration and Management, I returned to the UK eager to share the knowledge that I had collected from my time as a student-athlete in the NCAA. It was then that I discovered a passion for educating players and families on the opportunities available to them, utilizing my own personal experiences to help others in the pursuit of their individual goals. As I transitioned into the role I have been fortunate to have helped over 50+ student-athletes achieve their dreams of playing collegiate soccer in the US and go on to have a life-changing experience. I take great pride in following their journeys and continuing to support their footballing journeys.
After making the transition into a recruitment role within the football industry I realized quickly that there was an abundance of players that were also looking for different experiences. I was also driven by a desire to break the age-old saying of "It's about who you know, not what you know" which led to me going on to create an extensive professional network over the last 5 years that allows talented players to connect with global soccer opportunities.

To now see over 150 athletes having accessed these opportunities has far surpassed my expectations when I first set out on this mission. With each year that passes, comes a renewed focus on continuing to develop my network to provide more opportunity to then ever before.
